Travelling to Cyprus You can travel to Cyprus by air either arriving at Larnaka International Airport which is 40 minutes away from Nicosia or at Pafos International Airport which is two hours away from Nicosia. Please note that, due to the political situation in Cyprus, entrance is not allowed by Immigration Officials to the southern Greek part of the island if you choose to arrive in Cyprus at any other airport except Larnaca Airport or Pafos Airport. In particular, if you choose to fly via Turkey to the area controlled by Turkey and the Turkish Cypriots on the northern side of the island you will be considered to have arrived through an illegal entry process and you will not be allowed to enter the south. Bus The most economic way to get from the airport to Nicosia is by using the shuttle bus service. You can find information on the buses here. Taxi There is also a taxi service from the airport to Nicosia. You can find information here. Car rental You can a rent car from the airport and then follow the road signs to Nicosia. The road to Nicosia is A1. Getting around Nicosia Within the city there is bus and taxi service.
